What can Cardiff Medicals RFC offer you?
Cardiff Medicals RFC offers a unique experience to healthcare students, combining the right brand of rugby with an unrivalled social ethos.
Both our 1st and 2nd XV’s compete within the Bristish Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) leagues.
The social aspect of our club allows like-minded future healthcare professionals to enjoy the other side of rugby, not only with other students, but with members who have gone before them, creating lifelong friendships among future colleagues.
The Heath Park Fresher’s Fayre is held on the 1st Monday of Fresher’s Fortnight at the Sports & Social Club, Heath Park Campus. It is a great place to meet fellow students and sign up to the wealth of sports clubs and societies that are available to healthcare students.
Importantly, if you are interested in playing rugby at university, you will be able to meet current members of the club for a chat and more information. You will also be able to join the club.
Pre-season training starts in early September and will continue on Saturdays & Wednesdays until the BUCS season gets under way at the beginning of October. During this time there will also be a number of pre-season matches to allow everybody to get some match practice.
All prospective students are welcome to get involved from the outset, but as the 1st year term doesn’t start until the end of September don’t worry if you’re not around.
For more information on training and events see our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/CardiffMedsRFC) and keep an eye out for posts on your year group Facebook page.
If you have any questions or are interested in joining, don’t hesitate to get in touch before term starts. Our contact details are available here.
