Gwyn Jones

Gwyn Jones played Open-side Flanker for Cardiff Medicals, Cardiff RFC and won 13 caps for Wales, 5 as Captain. The 109th Wales captain’s playing career was tragically cut short after suffering an injury whilst playing for Cardiff in 1997. However he has since continued his career as a doctor, whilst also pursuing a very successful career as one of the BBC & S4c’s most respected rugby pundits.

“If someone asked me who my feeder club was, I’d say Cardiff Meds and I was very proud to play for them. The ongoing friendship and brotherhood we’ve got at Cardiff Meds is unrivaled. We’re a special group to get into Cardiff Meds, but once you’re there everyone is welcome.”
